On The Rae-Dar: Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Season 3.

We try not to play favorites over here, but Power Book III: Raising Kanan is definitely our favorite series in the Powerverse. Followed by Power Book II & IV (in our humble opinion), the life story of Kanan Stark ( 50 Cent’s character in the original Power series) locked us in from episode one, and reigns supreme.

Now maybe it’s because I’m an 80’s baby from Brooklyn (Rae speaking), and the series takes place in Southside, Jamaica Queens during that era. Or it could be Kanan’s Mother, Raquel “Raq” Thomas (Patina Miller) who completely blew us away in season’s 1 & 2.

Simply put, we’re invested.
