Excellence In Black: Beyonce in Final Talks to Release ‘Renaissance’ Concert Film Through AMC Theatres

Welp Fam, it looks like we’ll finally get those ‘Renaissance’ visuals we’ve patiently been waiting for since Beyonce dropped her now iconic album on July 29th of last year. They Just won’t be delivered in the way we expected them.

But are we surprised?

According to Variety, sources with knowledge of the project have confirmed that a film based on Bey’s record-breaking Renaissance World Tour is in advanced talks to be distributed directly to AMC Theaters.

The magazine reports:

Mega-agency CAA held preliminary talks with major studios and streamers two weeks ago, another source added, urging the players to be ready to bid on a project the icon has been developing for years — one that would include elements of her top-grossing 2023 live shows, parts of the long-gestating visual album “Renaissance” and a documentary-style account of making the record and building out the tour (Blue Ivy Carter cameos surely to come).

The project is eyeing a Dec. 1 wide release, added insiders.

Now, if you’ve been following the tour like we have (and don’t worry we are about to pull you up to speed), during her Louisville, Kentucky stop of TRW, Beyonce was met by a homemade sign from a fan asking for the “visuals” that accompany the Grammy winning album. Her response, and we quote “You are the visual, baby!”

It’s also no secret that camera crews have had just as much stage time on tour as the Queen Bey herself. They were personally blocking our view during the first night of her Atlanta stop. But we just knew Bey was up to something, so we kept it cute.

Deadline reported that Beyoncé recorded her two Houston, Texas shows last month for the film. Which makes sense since that’s her hometown.

The outlet also added that she may announce the concert film at her finale stop in Kansas City, Missouri, on Sunday evening.

We’ll be on the look out because we can already feel SOLD OUT theaters in the near future.
